Favorite Foods: anything spicy, lo mein noodles, ice cream, traditional southern favorites, sushi
Favorite Cuisine: It’s a close tie between Chinese and Italian. But when I say Italian, I don’t mean Olive Garden or Macaroni Grill… I mean actual food from Italy. Quite the opposite for Chinese… I like the nasty, greasy MSG-filled chinese takeout meal.
Favorite Rock Hill restaurant: Michael’s Rock Hill Grille. They have a great selection of food and everything I’ve ever ordered there has been more than wonderful. Their appetizer sweet potato sticks are DELICIOUS!
Favorite restaurant: Gattabuia in Rome, Italy. I’d give anything to fly there for a night just to eat there. But I’d need lots of money so I could order everything on the menu…

Favorite Foods: MEAT! I’m very much a carnivore, and I love foods in HUGE quantities. If I give a restaurant a low rating in “value,” it’s because they don’t give you enough food for your buck.
Favorite Cuisine: My favorite flavor profiles are Latin American, Thai and other Asian Fusion, and MEAT!! Yes, meat is a “flavor profile” in my book.
Favorite Rock Hill restaurant: Charanda. Their staff is excellent, servers to kitchen. They don’t mind tweaking their dishes to accommodate your tastes, and they have an excellent bar in a really fun atmosphere.
Favorite restaurant: Alvin Ord’s in Beaufort, SC. They do simple sandwiches in spongy bread the likes of which I’ve never seen recreated. Everything is fresh, quick, and tasty. Incidentally, they pack their sandwiches full of MEAT! I make sure to go there at least once or twice every time I head back home.

Can I be a guest columnist–I too enjoy food? I also like to think that I’m pretty cool.
